We are writing to address our concern about your legislation on postpartum depression screenings. We propose that Motherwoman drop this legislation because we believe in the long-run it will do more harm than good.

“The New Freedom Initiative” which proposed mandatory mental health

The world-wide first book about "Successful coming down from psychiatric drugs." With experience-reports of 28 (ex-)users and survivors of psychiatric drugs from all over the world and additional articles of psychotherapists, physicians, psychiatrists, natural healers and other professionals helping withdraw.

Freedom Center founding member and organizer David Burns discusses the early days of Freedom Center, when he worked as a "secret agent" on the streets and in a Northampton mental health residence, collecting information on psychiatric abuse for Freedom Center's human rights activist campaign. Dave also describes his life and experiences labeled "obsessive-compulsive disorder" from a spiritual and creative viewpoint, including the "inner work" he does.

We just got word from Richard Rainery, of the Alaska Governor's Council on Disabilities and Special Education, that the Mental Health Web community center is starting to offer free acupuncture modeled on the Freedom Center clinic!

Will met with Richard and other Alaska psychiatric disability rights and domestic violence organizers during a trip a few months ago to several Alaska conferences and workshops. He was able to do a demonstration of the ear acupuncture protocol at the Mental Health Web, and has been nurturing an Alaska spinoff clinic ever since. Now it looks like it is happening. The clinic will be conducted by Patricia Cushman, Licensed Acupuncturist.
